Stored XSS in S/Notify for Confluence 4.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted S/MIME certificate. The S/MIME user-upload path accepts and stores attacker-controlled certificate content that executes when the affected user-profile page is rendered. Exposure requires user S/MIME uploads to be enabled and a logged-in user to follow a malicious link or visit a malicious site; the script runs with that user's permissions.
