Sandbox escape in Ares before 1.7.6 allows local users to execute arbitrary Java when a victim runs crafted student code. JUnit ReflectionUtils.getUnderlyingCause invokes an attacker-overridden getTargetException method while only trusted stack frames remain, letting the subclass remove ArtemisSecurityManager. Exploitation requires crafted student code and a victim to execute it, after which the attacker gains the trusted Java context's file, network, and command access.
