CVE-2024-23677Network attack vector

Sensitive response disclosure via RapidDiag logging

Published Jan 22, 2024 · Updated Feb 28, 2025

Information disclosure in Splunk RapidDiag before Enterprise 9.0.8 and Cloud 9.0.2208 allows remote authenticated users to read server responses. RapidDiag writes the server response from an external-application upload request into splunk_rapid_diag.log, where response content remains exposed. Low-privileged Splunk access and use of the upload workflow are required; exposure is limited to response data recorded in that log.
