CVE-2024-23673Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via invalid resource paths

Published Feb 6, 2024 · Updated May 9, 2025

Path traversal in Apache Sling Servlets Resolver before 2.11.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute uploaded scripts. The resolver normalizes resource-type or script-name paths containing segments of more than two dots and resolves the referenced repository resource as a Sling script. Exploitation requires repository write access and a configuration that permits the crafted resource type to reach a previously uploaded script.
