Internal resource disclosure via unfiltered AI endpoints
Published Feb 21, 2024 · Updated Apr 22, 2025
SSRF in Discourse AI before commit 94ba0dadc2cf38e8f81c3936974c167219878edd allows remote authenticated users to read internal resources. The completion and inference clients pass configured service URLs directly to Net::HTTP or Faraday without FinalDestination filtering. An administrator must configure or invoke the endpoint; successful requests expose reachable internal resources but do not grant writes or interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
