CVE-2024-23564Network attack vector

Unauthenticated password theft via email redirection

Published Jul 17, 2026 · Updated Jul 17, 2026

Business logic error in HCL Software Aftermarket EPC 1.0.0 allows remote attackers to obtain passwords through recovery-email redirection. The recovery flow validates UserId in its initial request but later accepts an email destination without equivalent validation. No account is required; a manipulated server response routes another user's password to an attacker-controlled address, enabling account compromise.
