Database query manipulation via concatenated sqlSearch
Published Mar 29, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
SQL injection in Apache Fineract 1.8.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to manipulate database queries via sqlSearch. Affected REST API handlers pass sqlSearch into SearchParameters, and read services concatenate the value into SQL WHERE clauses after inadequate validation. A valid account with endpoint read permission and a susceptible system configuration is required; injected queries can read or alter banking data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
