SYSTEM command execution via unrestricted file upload
Published Apr 19, 2024 · Updated Dec 16, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Ivanti Avalanche before 6.4.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands as SYSTEM. The getMasterAdhocCollectionsPath method fails to validate user-supplied data and consequently accepts arbitrary file uploads that can be executed. Valid Avalanche credentials are required, and successful exploitation runs code with full SYSTEM privileges on the server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
