Authenticated code execution via out-of-bounds read
Published Apr 19, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in WLAvalancheService in Ivanti Avalanche before 6.4.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. WLAvalancheService accepts user-supplied data over TCP port 1777 without validating array bounds, causing reads past an allocated array. Exploitation requires authentication and high-complexity conditions; it can crash the service or execute code as SYSTEM.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
