CVE-2024-2353Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via unsanitized diagnostic address

Published Mar 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 12, 2024

OS command injection in TOTOLINK X6000R 9.4.0cu.852_20230719 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via the ip parameter. setDiagnosisCfg in shttpd inserts the untrusted ip value into a ping command with snprintf and passes the resulting string through CsteSystem to execv without neutralizing shell metacharacters. The handler accepts the crafted cstecgi.cgi request without authorization, granting command execution with the router service's privileges.
