Incorrect authorization in Elasticsearch 8.10.0 and later before 8.13.0 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary indexed documents. The Remote Cluster Security API-key model fails to enforce index authorization for custom transport requests specifying an index ID, shard ID, and document ID. Exploitation requires a valid remote-cluster API key, configured Remote Cluster Security, and custom transport access; REST endpoints are unaffected.
