Resource exhaustion in Elastic Elasticsearch allows remote authenticated users to crash an ingest node by processing a document in a deeply nested pipeline. Elastic identifies the locus as ingest-node pipeline processing but has not published which routine or resource limit mishandles excessive nesting. Exploitation requires high privileges and a document routed through a deeply nested ingest pipeline; the reported consequence is a node crash, not data access or modification.
