Kernel memory corruption via freed hardware fence
Published Aug 5, 2024 · Updated Aug 15, 2024
Use-after-free in Qualcomm Snapdragon graphics-kernel components allows local users to corrupt kernel memory by triggering hardware fences. The affected Gen7 Adreno scheduler paths process and move detached hardware fences after reset while referencing fence state whose lifetime has ended. Local access to a device containing an affected chipset is required; successful exploitation compromises kernel confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
