CVE-2024-23379

Memory corruption via concurrent fastrpc map unmapping

Published Oct 7, 2024 · Updated Oct 7, 2024

Double free in Qualcomm Snapdragon DSP Services allows local users with high privileges to corrupt memory through concurrent fastrpc map unmapping. During fastrpc map teardown, two threads can unmap and free the same map concurrently, causing the second free to operate on released memory. High local privileges are required; Qualcomm has not specified whether the resulting corruption produces code execution, disclosure, or a service crash.
