CVE-2024-23374

Privileged memory corruption via haptics debugfs write

Published Oct 7, 2024 · Updated Oct 7, 2024

Stack-based buffer overflow in Qualcomm Snapdragon haptics firmware allows local users with high privileges to corrupt memory via debugfs. Qualcomm identifies the locus as the haptics debugfs file but does not disclose the faulty operation or the affected stack buffer. Exploitation requires high privileges and local userspace or console access; successful triggering corrupts privileged firmware memory.
