CVE-2024-23365

Memory corruption via MinkSocket resource release

Published Sep 2, 2024 · Updated Sep 5, 2024

Use-after-free memory corruption in Qualcomm SCE-Mink on affected Snapdragon platforms allows local users to corrupt protected memory. The MinkSocket listener thread releases shared resources while references remain usable, so later activity accesses freed memory. Reachability requires local access but no prior privileges or user interaction; successful corruption can expose or alter data or interrupt the device.
