Path traversal in aiohttp before 3.9.2 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files through static routes configured to follow symlinks. StaticResource._handle resolved request filenames but skipped the static-root containment check when follow_symlinks was true. Exposure requires that non-default route option and direct access to the aiohttp static handler; the reported consequence is file disclosure only.
