Authenticated code execution via PHP log poisoning
Published Mar 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 21, 2024
Code injection in LDAP Account Manager before 8.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP through a web-accessible log file. The main configuration accepts an arbitrary log destination, while logNewMessage writes an attacker-controlled login name into that file without neutralizing PHP code. Exploitation requires the master configuration password and a server-writable path exposed by the web server; standard LAM installs provide no such path.
