UI spoofing via missing entitlement checks
Published Mar 8, 2024 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Apple iOS and iPadOS before 16.7.6 or 17.4 and visionOS before 1.1 allows local apps to spoof system UI. The Accessibility component fails to enforce required entitlements before permitting an app to present trusted-looking notifications or interface elements. App execution and user interaction are required; the documented consequence is UI integrity loss, not data access or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
