Permissions bypass in Image Capture in Apple macOS before 14.4 allows local users to read a user's Photos Library via a malicious app. The mscamerad XPC service's acceptConnection check trusts any Apple platform binary, so injected code can invoke its photo-entitled file-reading service. Exploitation requires running a malicious app that mounts an emulated camera DMG and injects a library; the demonstrated consequence is unauthorized photo access.
