Sensitive data disclosure via inadequate ExtensionKit log redaction
Published Mar 8, 2024 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
Information disclosure in Apple ExtensionKit on iOS and iPadOS before 17.4 and macOS before 14.4 allows local users to read sensitive data. ExtensionKit log entries fail to redact private data adequately, leaving that data accessible to another app. A locally installed app must access the affected logs; no remote path, data modification, or service interruption is reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
