Stored XSS via unsanitized upsell data attributes
Published Apr 8, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2025
Stored XSS in Open-Xchange GmbH OX App Suite frontend 7.10.6-rev40 and 7.6.3-rev54 allows remote authenticated users to run script. The frontend renders attacker-controlled data attributes in account upsell advertisements without sufficient sanitization, executing their contents in a viewer's browser session. Exploitation requires temporary account access or social engineering that leads a user to a maliciously configured account, enabling account-data extraction or malicious API requests.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
