CVE-2024-23182Network attack vector

Arbitrary file deletion via tampered media request

Published Jan 23, 2024 · Updated May 30, 2025

Relative path traversal in affected a-blog cms releases allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary server files through its media function. Appleple has not identified the affected file or function, but its advisory states that a tampered media request drives the out-of-directory deletion. Contributor-level or higher access and availability of the media function are required, and the bounded consequence is file deletion rather than file reading.
