Authenticated file disclosure via unchecked download path
Published Mar 8, 2024 · Updated Jun 10, 2025
Path traversal in ZKTeco ZKBio Media 2.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to read server files through the download service. The /pro/common/download handler on service port 9999 uses the fileName parameter as a path without blocking ../ sequences, allowing traversal outside the intended directory. Low-privileged access to the service is required, and successful requests disclose files readable by the server process without changing or deleting them.
