Code execution via uninitialized STP parser memory
Published Jun 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2025
Uninitialized memory use in Autodesk AutoCAD and related products allows remote attackers to execute code through a malicious STP file. The stp_aim_x64_vc15d.dll parser accesses memory before properly initializing it while processing STP content. Exploitation requires a user to open the file or visit a malicious page on an affected Windows installation, and code runs in the current process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
