Code execution via unchecked IGES object access
Published Jun 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2025
Use-after-free in ASMImport229A.dll in Autodesk AutoCAD products allows attackers to execute code through a crafted IGES file. The IGES parser operates on an object without first validating that the object still exists, allowing access after its lifetime ends. A user on an affected Windows installation must open the file or visit a malicious page; exploitation can crash the application or run code in the current process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
