Code execution via crafted PRT file parsing
Published Jun 25, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in opennurbs.dll in Autodesk desktop products allows attackers to execute code by opening a crafted PRT file. The parser reads beyond an intended buffer while processing attacker-controlled PRT content, exposing process memory and destabilizing execution. A user must open the file; successful exploitation can disclose process data, crash the application, or run code in the current process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
