Improper ownership validation in BPF Compiler Collection before 0.30.0 allows local users to interrupt BCC operations via forged kernel headers. The KBuildHelper extraction path accepts an existing /tmp/kheaders directory without verifying root ownership, so privileged BCC runs consume attacker-controlled headers. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and a system lacking packaged kernel headers; the reported consequence is limited to availability.
