Code execution via malformed SolidWorks file parsing
Published Feb 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2025
Memory corruption in ODXSW_DLL.dll in Autodesk AutoCAD 2021 through 2025 allows attackers to execute code via crafted SLDASM or SLDPRT files. The parser inadequately validates file-supplied data before a write operation, producing an access violation and corrupting process memory. Exploitation requires a user to open or import the malicious file on Windows, and resulting code runs in the current process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=2021 <2021.1.4
