Code execution via MODEL parser out-of-bounds write
Published Feb 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 28, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in libodxdll.dll in Autodesk AutoCAD 2021 through 2025 allows remote attackers to execute code via a MODEL file. The MODEL parser fails to validate user-supplied data before writing past the end of an allocated object. Exploitation requires the target to open the file or visit a malicious page and runs code in the current process; other outcomes include an application crash or data corruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
