Out-of-bounds write in Autodesk AutoCAD 2021 through 2025 allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted STP or STEP files. ASMIMPORT228A.dll and ASMIMPORT229A.dll fail to validate file-supplied data before writing past an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a Windows user to open or import the file; successful exploitation runs code in the current process and can corrupt data or crash it.
