Authenticated code execution via diag NPU arguments

Stack-based buffer overflow in the diag NPU command in Fortinet FortiOS allows local authenticated users to execute unauthorized code. The command handler processes specially crafted command-line arguments without adequate bounds checking, overwriting a stack buffer. Exploitation requires authenticated access to the FortiOS command-line interface and permits code or command execution on the appliance.
