CVE-2024-23105Network attack vector

Unauthenticated IP restriction bypass via crafted packets

Published May 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Improper source validation in Fortinet FortiPortal 7.0.0 through 7.0.6 and 7.2.0 through 7.2.1 allows remote attackers to bypass IP restrictions. Fortinet discloses only that crafted HTTP or HTTPS packets bypass IP protection; it does not identify the parsed field, trust decision, or code locus. No authentication is required, but the record does not establish whether the bypass alone exposes data or permits administrative actions.
