Calculation interruption via undersized array arguments
Published Apr 8, 2024 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Improper array-index validation in Apfloat 1.10.1 allows attackers to interrupt a calculation by supplying undersized arrays. DoubleCRTMath.add indexes supplied arrays without first validating that each argument contains at least three elements, so Java throws ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException. The method is internal, and the CVE is disputed because published evidence does not establish an untrusted-input path or a reproducible security boundary.
