Thread termination via unchecked CompassPlot series index

Improper index validation in CompassPlot in JFreeChart 1.5.4 allows attackers to terminate a calling thread with an exception. The setSeriesNeedle(int index, int type) method uses index to access the seriesNeedle array without first checking that it is within bounds. Reachability depends on a consuming application passing attacker-controlled indices, and the project disputes that this behavior constitutes a security vulnerability.
