CVE-2024-23057Public exploit

Unauthenticated command execution via unsanitized timezone input

Published Jan 11, 2024 · Updated Aug 30, 2024

Command injection in TOTOLINK A3300R 17.0.0cu.557_B20221024 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via the tz field. setNtpCfg passes tz through Uci_Set_Str into a composed uci command, which CsteSystem wraps and execv runs without neutralizing shell metacharacters. No credentials or user interaction are required, but CISA assesses reachability as adjacent-network rather than internet-wide.
