Stored XSS via bypassable SVG script filter
Published Apr 6, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in 10Web Photo Gallery 1.8.21 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through SVG uploads. In filemanager/UploadHandler.php, a regular expression strips only matching script-tag forms, so whitespace in a closing tag bypasses filtering. Administrator access and either WordPress multisite or disabled unfiltered_html are required; uploaded code runs when a user opens the affected page.
