CVE-2024-22894Public exploit

Arbitrary code execution via shadow-file password

Published Jan 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 29, 2024

Inadequate password protection in Alpha Innotec and Novelan heat-pump firmware allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. The public record names the password component in the shadow file but does not disclose the operation that turns it into code execution. The CVE description calls the attacker remote, while the published CVSS assessment requires physical access, so the reachable attack path remains unresolved.
