Weak password hashing in OpenSlides 4.0.15 allows attackers who obtain stored hashes to recover cleartext passwords rapidly. The password-storage process applies a single SHA-512 round to each cleartext password and its salt. Exploitation requires prior access to stored hashes; massively parallel GPU, ASIC, FPGA, or cloud computing accelerates offline cracking.
