Authenticated database manipulation via unescaped date parameter
Published Mar 8, 2024 · Updated Aug 12, 2024
SQL injection in Automated Mess Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to manipulate database queries through the date parameter. The /member/view.php handler inserts the date query-string value into a single-quoted mealcount.date predicate without escaping or parameterization, then executes the resulting statement. A valid member session is required, and successful injection permits database reads or changes within the web application's database privileges.
