Authenticated code execution via unrestricted JSP upload
Published Feb 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 29, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in auntvt Timo 2.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through a crafted JSP file. UploadController.java accepts a multipart file named with a .jsp extension despite an image content type, stores it below the web root, and leaves it directly requestable. Administrative access to the upload endpoint is required; successful exploitation runs commands with the privileges of the Tomcat service.
