CVE-2024-22795Public exploit

Local privilege escalation via privileged temp-file deletion

Published Feb 8, 2024 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Improper privilege management in Forescout SecureConnector 11.3.06.0063 allows local users to gain SYSTEM privileges on Windows. SecureConnector.exe creates, runs, and deletes compliance-check files with SYSTEM rights inside a temporary directory that an unprivileged user can control. Triggering Recheck Compliance Status lets that user win a race to replace a script or redirect output-file deletion through a junction and symbolic link, enabling privileged code execution or arbitrary deletion of protected files.
