Administrator stored XSS via unescaped filter names
Published Apr 1, 2024 · Updated Oct 27, 2024
Stored XSS in Themify WooCommerce Product Filter before 1.4.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through filter names. The filter-creation path stores a crafted name without sanitizing it and renders that value without escaping in the Product Filters table. Administrator privileges are required, and exposure is limited to sites where unfiltered_html is disabled, including multisite deployments; opening the table executes the script in a viewer's browser.
