Authenticated OS command execution via NTP timeserver injection

OS command injection in Hitron Systems DVR LGUVR-8H 1.02 through 4.02 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The system_ntp.cgi management handler passes the untrusted timeserver POST parameter into an operating-system command without neutralizing shell syntax. Access to the authenticated management interface is required; observed attacks used default administrator credentials to install Mirai-based malware and enlist devices in a DDoS botnet.
