CVE-2024-22771Known exploitationPublic exploit

Authenticated command injection via NTP timeserver parameter

Published Jan 23, 2024 · Updated Oct 22, 2024

Command injection in Hitron Systems DVR LGUVR-4H 1.02 through 4.02 allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands. The /cgi-bin/system_ntp.cgi handler inserts the attacker-controlled timeserver value into an operating-system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Access requires management authentication, but unchanged default administrator credentials enable device takeover and botnet enrollment.
