Reflected XSS via MIME-sniffed error responses

Reflected XSS in Orthanc before 1.12.2 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser through a crafted error response. The HttpOutput::SendStatus path sent nonempty JSON error bodies without an application/json content type, while responses lacked X-Content-Type-Options, permitting MIME sniffing. Exploitation requires a user to open an attacker-crafted Orthanc URL; the resulting script runs in the Orthanc origin and can read or alter browser-accessible data.
