Browser script execution via article-content editing input
Published Jan 17, 2024 · Updated Jun 20, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Stupid Simple CMS 1.2.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script in a user's browser via article editing. The public record identifies the article-content editing section but does not disclose the affected parameter or the code path that emits attacker-controlled input without adequate neutralization. Exploitation requires user interaction, after which the script executes in the vulnerable site's browser context and can read or alter exposed page data.
