CVE-2024-22651Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated shell access via unfiltered SSDP input

Published Jan 24, 2024 · Updated Sep 10, 2024

Command injection in D-Link DIR-815 firmware 1.04 and earlier allows remote attackers to gain shell access through crafted SSDP requests. The cgibin ssdpcgi_main function reads web-interface data from environment variables and passes it unfiltered to the lxmldbc_system command wrapper. An unauthenticated UDP request to port 1900 with a crafted ST header can start telnetd, exposing a device shell.
