Authenticated database manipulation via report date parameters
Published Jan 16, 2024 · Updated Jun 2, 2025
SQL injection in Budget and Expense Tracker System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read or alter data through report date parameters. The reports/budget handler incorporates date_start and date_end query values into a MySQL statement without neutralizing SQL syntax. An administrator session is required; crafted date filters can expose or change stored financial records and interrupt database-backed reporting.
