Administrator command execution via unneutralized NTP fields
Published Apr 30, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Command injection in TRENDnet TEW-815DAP 1.0.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands via a malicious POST request. The do_setNTP handler incorporates attacker-controlled NtpDstStart or NtpDstEnd values into a command without neutralizing command syntax. Administrator privileges are required, and successful exploitation runs commands with the appliance handler's privileges.
